The idea for this site is from many conversations with other young women in medical entomology. I wanted to create a place where we could vent when need be, but mostly where we could meet other young researchers in our field, find mentors and share experiences. My goal is to create a community, organization and eventually meetings to support women in medical entomology in the US and abroad. BUT, before all of that can happen, I need your help. I need to know what you, as a young researcher and a woman, want from your professional experience, what you need to suceed in this field and what your feelings are on medical entomology research, disease control and the state of world health.
On this blog we can meet each other, we can post relevent news stories about research and discuss them, ask for advice, share stories and talk about our roles in the future of this field!
